I'll let you know when i'm planning on doing it Duncan, it mainly depends on the weather though. My current plan is too start from the Bells Bridge and cycle to Bonnington Linn then get the train back from Lanark. I've covered most of the route already but not in one go, there are some really good s...

Cycle the Clyde

Hi there, Has anyone on this forum ever attempted to follow the route of the river Clyde by bicycle (although it could be done on foot)? I decided last night that I'd like to attempt to go from the City centre to New Lanark or further. I'm pretty certain that its doable, the only section I'm not sur...

huge calfs and freshly shaven leggies

nice one, your not an exponent of the dark side are you?

i agree though the events can be a little dull but anything that promotes cycling is worth supporting.

Glasgow Cyclefest

Hi there,

Anyone planning on going to the Glasgow Cyclefest 2004 at Kelvingrove Park this Sunday 20th June?

They have some interesting events planned including guided cycle tours around the city.

There is more info here: http://www.glasgowcyclefest.org/

I don't mind walking but I prefer to cycle where possible, luckily Glasgow and Scotland in general has some of the best cycleways/trails in the country.

Cycling also a great way to take in the city's architecture, you just have to remember to watch the road from time to time.

Zat Buchanan Street??

Not quite. Apparently this sunset only happens in Manhatten on May 28 and July 12 due to the alignment (30 degrees east of North) of the street grid. I was thinking that Glasgow might be the only place in the uk where you could take a similar shot?

What is this building?

Does anyone know what the building is on the corner of Clifton Street and Woodside Terrace Gardens?

It has the most amazing frieze right round the top.

Cheers,
