Re: Dodgy Pubs!!

OOPS sorry, I thought I had quoted this ::): : Annie Millers Very Dangerous !!!! 8O That's it! I was contemplating going past to remind myself what it was called, so you have now saved me the trauma of having to to that and reopen old psychological scars. That has to be the dodgiest, most dangerous ...

Re: Dodgy Pubs!!

Just to revive an old topic guys. Having lived in Glasgow for over 50 years I was invited into this unknown pub. Now as a taxi driver c  I thought I knew all the pubs and was delighted to have been accepted. It was a Thursday night and after a works day out a colleague invited me to join him i...

Re: Big fire?

No, no, your comments are relevant. What indeed do we need to do to have such places closed down. This yard only had around 70,00 tyres unlike others that have upwards of 250,000 illegally stored tyres.

Perhaps other yards are similar in Glasgow 8O  8O

Re: Big fire?

Scrappys at Renfrew ...again. Won me lots of Brownie points. "There's a huge fire just down the road! Loads of toxic black smoke!" Ah, that'll be the Renfrew scrapyard again, then. :-) Side note : what do you have to do to be closed down these days? Looks like you have lost the Brownie po...

Re: Aggressive Begging in Glasgow City Centre. Getting worse

And I presume you still believe in Santa Claus, look under your bed for monsters and have held onto every other opinion you believed as a child despite been shown evidence that you might have been wrong. You can stop worrying as Jamesy died in 2008. Just because someone does not agree with your opi...

Re: Aggressive Begging in Glasgow City Centre. Getting worse

We all have opinions that have been clearly demonstrated throughout the topic. It was my opinion that when I was a child that Jaimsie was indeed agressive. (someone mentioned above that he would hit people with his portable radio) Imagine how it felt to be around 10 year old, going swimming to White...

Re: Incident in Yoker??

I was about to comment until I seen it was only 2 days ago.

The previous week seen me involved in a Water Rescue when a drunk male decided he was swimming the Clyde.

Perhaps its happened again.

Re: Aggressive Begging in Glasgow City Centre. Getting worse

It should be available if you use the search function on the forum I was merely adding to the topic being discussed and not starting a new topic. As it has offended you to the extent that you felt the need to make the above comment then I suggest IMHO that you need to take a chil pill, stop, re-rea...

Re: Exam stress...

IMHO leave them alone. My eldest struggled at school or so I thought because of the way he was taught in Primary School. He had been taught our basic language skills utilising a method known as Jolly Phonetics ie. A = Annie Apple, B = Bouncy Ben, and C was Clever Cat etc. which was done away with wi...

Re: The days of CB radio, who was...

I DO remember my dad posessing a highly illegal signal booster which allowed him to talk to my mum when him and his mates were at the summit of Ben Lomond with a car battery powering the radios. Considering that todays car batteries are lighter than 30 years ago then I am glad it was not me that to...
