I can picture a friend of family member who would be the butt of most of his comments/jokes, but don't take persona...

Re: Shawlands/Southside

Leo's Bistro on Fenwick Road (edge of Newlands/Start of Giffnock) is pretty good. Quite nice in side, and normally decent clientele, etc.
Or, for something during the day - Biscuit Cafe in Shawlands.

Re: Best Curry House

Any of members here recommend a good curry buffet? I'm the "Curry Co-ordinator" for a small group of curry fanatics who like to try out entirely new places to see what they're like. We've done a lot of the West End and further afield, but now we've run out of ideas - anybody know of a kil...

Re: UEFA Cup Final

Yeah. It's played right into the Scottish-hating English medias' hand....which is kind of ironic really considering we are the "quintessential British club". I do want a "full, wide inquiry" as to whay went on. Unfortunately the English media are quite happy to blame the Scots a...

It was reall...

I've only been to Thai Siam and Thai Fountain. T Siam is excellent. I couldnt fault it. They also do a takeaway menu, which is magic. Thai fountain is good too, although it's a bit pricey and the waiting staff are always a bit too attentive (e.g. constantly filling up your glass, and at taking away ...

Victorian Village

Hi, Does anyone know what happened to the little antique/jewellery shop on West regent St? My family used to go there for bits n' bobs for as long as I can remember... and I went up today & it is now a dodgy finance/insurance place? I got married only 2 years and we got our rings from there, and...

One of the best burgers I've had here in Glasgow, if not the best, was at Ad Lib on Ingram Street. It wasn't cheap, but damn was it good. An excellent meal overall there (good chips too, and a decadent chocolate brownie sundae extravaganza for dessert). I do love a good quality gourmet burger thoug...
