Re: Glasgow Nightclubs

Oh certainly not RP.

I fondly remember getting a membership and cue for christmas early nineties. And as such, most of those nightclub tickets were too old for me!

Love your flickr stuff by the way - what an archive. Cheers.

Re: Glasgow Nightclubs

oooft - not too far away at 1996 then. I'm claiming that as a victory!

I note Robert P that you were a member at Kirkintilloch Rileys. I would have been a nipper at the time but was also a member around those days.

Re: Glasgow Nightclubs

Underworld burned in the late 90's and reckon the pass is for around 96/97

Planet Peach could be as late as the millennium but strange it doesnt have a web address...

Fury Murrays reckon no later than 1996.

Not the best answers, but pretty cool tickets!

Re: Demolition of Buchanan Street Concert Hall Steps

The problem I have with the scheme is that, come 6 oclock, some heavies (no offence Doorstop!) can saunter over and effectively close off a large portion of the very centre of the city. They talk of public space and interaction in all the design statements and concept imagery etc, but when it comes ...

Re: Demolition of Buchanan Street Concert Hall Steps

The steps are to be demolished as part of the expansion of the Buchanan Galleries. This includes: Demolishing the steps, replacing with a tall glass drum type entrance, with scenic lifts to the Sauchiehall St side. Internally there is vertical circulation to access the upper levels of extended mall ...

Re: bad driving

Yep, hit by the back then side of the car while walking on the pavement. Not at any speed to do damage, but it shows how oblivious she was. On a road with loads of kids going to primary and high schools. We got the reg number of the ambulance but you know what? I can't be bothered with the hassle. I...

Re: bad driving

Things reach a new low when you are tailgated down the M77 and on to the M8 by a patient transport ambulance before it overtakes and the driver turns, mouthing obscenities at you..... Or when walking to the train and a woman reversing out her drive manages to hit me, not once but twice with the car!...

Re: Glasgow Parks

http://www.change.org/petitions/glasgow-city-council-drop-the-proposed-glasgow-park-management-rules-relating-to-unauthorised-gatherings-parking-and-animals The list of points on this proposal are quite worrying, and bizarre in terms of how to enforce them. Hidden Glasgow walks would potentially ne...

Re: Finnieston crane

Would anyone happen to have any proper drawings of the crane by any chance? Have searched a lot, and been to the Mitchell but no joy.

Am looking to build a large scale model, plus a computer model too - more accurate drawings the better!

Re: Blueprints

As others have said, they will copy the plans for you there and then or a few days later. The system is all indexed so you can search the computer for what you want by address etc and then have them fetch the plans up for you. You can always take a couple phone pics of things if quality isn't really...

Re: Savoy Centre Renewal

Assume so, RA. Which is a shame in some ways and not so bad in others. Taking the tower out of the equation for a minute, removal of the pedestrian link could still be a good thing. Take away a section of the Savoy side road lane to make a lift/stair node on this side and it would rationalise the st...
