Re: Star Bar and Ken Manners

I went in and indulged in the £2.20 lunch and asked the owner about the Ken Manners sign. He said he didn't have any pics though he told me Ken owns a little Guest House in Ayr. So I am still looking. If anyone has any photos whatsoever of the sign I would do just about anything. (apart form that yo...

Hi Folks It has come to my attention that there are plans to change and ultimately destroy the interior of Bar10. We have at the moment only scratched the surface on what is there. We scanned and cleaned up about 1,000 images out of 30,000.

There is some info on the blog http://blog.glaswegians.org if anyone is interested in helpiong digitise the archive.

The pictures were all taken between 1989 and early 1992.

This for the moment is just pictures that come from this one project that the Cranhill Arts ran back then.

Glaswegians Photo Archive

So after many, many hours of scanning and trudging through thousands of negs and contact sheets we launched http://www.glaswegians.org/ this week.

I thought the folks here at hidden glasgow would like to be some of the first to give it a kick.

Thanks
Russ

Just a little note to let you know that there will be an extra market on the 17th of December.

An extra chance to get some great christmas gifts.

Check out http://www.thesearideals.co.uk for some more info.

I went down the tunnel that is out the back of the Transport Museum today. I thought it would lead onto the exhibition centre line but it was filled in about 300-400m in.

I say that but I have no idea how far it was. I can't judge distance to well.

Went well. Te next one should be busier and we should have some more coverage in the papers. Lot's more people interested in holding a stall so there should be plenty of great stuff to add to your christmas list.
