Old embroidered cap badge I bought recently, was used by very senior uniformed corpy staff, such as the trams, police & museums.
It's mostly wire & silk thread, the fish scales are little discs of metal sewn on.

Good reply Viceroy. It was largely a rebranding exercise to try and distance the Corpy electric underground from the old unreliable cable subway, and maybe steal some of the London Underground's thunder :)
