Thank you Dave! I must have been one of the few Glaswegians who never managed to visit the Garden Festival. At that time i worked for a funeral company in Glasgow who were notorious with their staff turn around (eventually I too left) but found myself always 'on call' at the weekend despite their b...

Re: 'Style Mile' Monstrosity

Mmmm I wonder if they still use brown envelopes or do they create a company, who creates another company, who creates another company offshore in some far flung destination and then pays money in via BACS which goes to a holding company on behalf of another 'charitable' organisation who then loans ...

Re: 'Style Mile' Monstrosity

From the illustration, it looks totally out of proportion to the adjoining buildings. You wonder why GCC Planning would pass it, at all.
There seems to be an addiction amongst designers for these glass and metal monstrosities.

Re: Latest project, 1967 VW beetle restoration.

I have had a weird year with projects needing finished and parents moving house but I think in the new year I will make an effort to post more. I think you might be one of the few regulars who actually does post still on interesting topics. Still, we can hope in 2018, apart from yourself, we do get...

Re: The Girly Thread

I've heard of people selling dresses in shops selling second hand or what some call preloved clothing. Perhaps a search on Google to see if there is one in your area. I sold mine in a shop which sold second hand and end of line clothing. Also some people sell privately via classified adverts in loc...

Quite a lot of the early series of London's burning are on you tube and very good they are as well. By series 13 though you can see how poor it had become.

I've seen a number of posts creep in over the months, which could be prevented if they were viewed prior to submission (only newbies). Essay writing services must be hungry for work just now..
