Re: second hand tv remotes

Funny you should mention that place because there was a guy on the telly earlier talking about a heart procedure which isn't available in Scotland but is available elsewhere and the last time I saw him was in the Golden Jubilee. I should have thought to nick the remote as well as the telly Turns ou...

police caught the culprit but he managed to escape

Doesn't look too good, does it?

No worse than leaving a couple to die in a ditch.

There are no blankets of any sort. Ask Shona Robison - just don't expect an answer.

I passed the Classic Grand/ McDonalds corner yesterday and there wasn't an ambulance OR a police car outside.

Anyone know what happened?

Re: Southern General Hospital & Redevelopment

RDR's 'being seen' is misleading. Everyone, almost by definition, is triaged on arrival. The test, and what the 4 hours applies to, is disposal. The SG isn't unique in failing this. The old A&E and the Western had a habit of bumping patients to the Medical Assessment Unit (in the former Beatson ...

Do we know the raw numbers? 94% of fewer attendees maybe isn't something to be bumming about.

77% for the first week in October. Scandalous.

Re: Not really interesting facts about yourself

Was at hospital this morning to have a small cyst removed from my thumb. Had to strip and wear a gown, why in this day and age do we still have tie up the back gowns? It's nye on impossible to tie them as the ribbons are about three inches long. Could the not have Velcro instead? I remember ...

Re: Bridge to nowhere

Glasgow’s infamous ‘bridge to nowhere’, which was half-built and abandoned in the 1970s before funding was found to finish it in 2013, has won an award for its “community impact”. The concrete structure extends from Anderston but came to an abrupt end above a hotel car park until more than one milli...

Re: Church Street pool

That looks to be in better nick than Govanhill and Govanhill is being brought back into use.

As I recall, Church St always kept the water temperature really high.

I tend to see Town Planners as being a bit like Social Workers - whatever they do, however they do it, it is usually deemed utterly wrong. Which is not to say there weren't screw-ups, but here we are with a lot of hindsight, and the Town Planners are very often the scapegoats, it seems. Anyhow, it'...

Me too.

The new owner does, however, seem to have his heart set on painting over the shop front :(

Re: Lost record shops of Glasgow

Lost Chord on Park Rd is up for sale. From Lost Chord. Well it's now all official - The new owners take over on the 10th of September and after a makeover will start to trade in vinyl only. Lots of new vinyl and some secondhand. The last day of trading (for me) will be Saturday 5th of September so ...
