Re: Taking Photographs - The Legal Perspective

I sent an email to Strathclyde Police a few weeks ago to ask them about officers asking members of the public to delete photographs from their cameras. They've phoned back and we had a chat. They say they've not had any complaints about their officers acting in this manner. I suspect it's probably ...

Re: Tripods...

Just bought a gorillapod to take on holiday wth me, it'll be of limited use but better than NO tripod!!! They're ok, good for wrapping round branches or fences. You may like to look at a beanbag as a compact tripod replacement, I use this one http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/Accessori...

Re: Digital Camera Equipment. THE Help and discussion thread.

I've pondered getting one for a while, and was just wondering: has anybody here used a split prism focusing screen in their DSLR? If so, any joy? Some contacts have used and recommend Katz Eyes screens. You can send them your camera and they'll fit it for you, or you can attempt to do it yourself. ...

Re: Taking Photographs - The Legal Perspective

found it
http://media.gn.apc.org/photo/guidelines.html
number 3 covers what I said and actually goes further, stating that a court order is required to seize the media even if they think you have evidence

Re: Taking Photographs - The Legal Perspective

By deleting photographs it could be argued that the police officer was "attempting to pervert the course of justice" in that he was attempting to destroy evidence. If the taking of photos was "strictly forbidden" he should have seized the memory card (or the camera if it was sti...

Re: Taking Photographs - The Legal Perspective

Certain buildings will be off limits due to the Terrorism Act, the problem is they don't say which ones. It's a safe bet that Thames House would be no go, as would the MI6 building whoses name escapes me. If Whitehall ans Westminister weren't such tourist magnets they'd have a go at banning photogra...

Re: What Camera have you got?

Those Olympus fit lenses should fit current Oly DSLRs as far as I know. Albeit with manual aperture control. (And agreed, that Nepal shot is a beaut.) They won't - the current crop of Oly DSLRs use four thirds lenses which is a non-proprietry digital format, although the only other manufacturer to ...
