Has anyone got / used one of these and if so were there any probs, wee annoying things to watch out for etc. I've also been drooling over the Minolta 7D but at around £70...

There was no sign of any remnants of the boards in that area, although there is a patch of grass with a substation in the corner of it at the corner of Friarscourt Ave and Trinely Rd which is a possible location

Stumbled across a selection of DVD's in the new Silverscreen store in Braehead the other day.

Auld Glasgow

and two others the titles of which I can't remember, one was pre-war and one post-war which contains the footage refered to above.

Is the whiteinch baths at the bottom, or just off Balshagry Avenue? I'm sure thats the swimming baths Hyndland Secondry school used until they opened the new scotstoun pool. The picture shows a smaller, shallow pool which I don't remember, but I recognise the staircase on the 2nd picture of it. Hyn...

Recent pic of Whitevale St. can be seen here

I don't think the cranstonhill building is there anymore, that area has been extensively redeveloped

Re: Cliches and easy shots galore

I do believe the private sector is part funding the repair and plinth. So do we slag the council for fixing it, do we slag them for accepting private funding, do we slag them for putting a statue up in the first place and going againt Donald's wishes or do we as usual just slag them? All of the above

Re: Baths, Wash houses and Pools - "The Steamie's"

Where were they? When did they close? When were they demolished? Any original buildings still standing or still in use? Any designed by Architects of note? Anyone got fond memories of visiting these facilities? Whiteinch is still standing, shared building with the swimming pool. The pool was closed...
