I don't personally do acrylic nails but have worked in a nail bar doing manicures and although I can't stand the smell of the fumes I was always alright health wise, though there were only 4 nail stations so not too many fumes. May be worthwhile getting a health and safety check to ensure the fumes ...

A really good tip for sensitive/delicate skin when shaving is to put a thin layer of oil on the skin before lathering up your shaving foam. Helps the razor glide better and provides a protective film. Just make sure you give your razor a good rinse so it doesn't get clogged up.
